who is the headliner, then?
It would make sense for Sodom to be the headliner....
or is it more that all the bands are playing equal times and there isn't really a headliner, just someone has to go last

Perhaps Sodom is trying to make and mend for them selves, or maybe that's what the person who printed the poster thought. But that doesn't change the fact it's a tribute from all bands to Chris.
They should have thought twice before printing it like this. Never the less I'm convinced they'll get it sorted and straightened out amongst the bands. They're big boys and girls. Some slightly bigger than others haha.
Oh yeah and that line up is a killer one. Damn shame it's over 800 km from here  |

No reason to complain like that, just because sb doesn't see things not as gloomy as oneself does.
Yes, it may not have been the best design for a poster/flyer advertising a gig with such a background,considering that there has been trouble between Chris and Sodom,but...my goodness,a crisis in the worldwide economy,a new outbreak of violence in the Middle East and here,the greatest trouble is a stupid flyer and that not everybody sees a reason to utter battle cries against its designers.
I absolutely can't understand this.
I know,that post sounds pissed,but such things always makes me wonder.
Maybe the person who designed the poster didn't think/know about what has been in the past, thinking only about Sodom as the band where Chris used to play in?
But as the flyer will be changed,you guys better go and make your plans like grown-up ppl are supposed to do. I don't think that Chris would want his memory to be commemorated with discussions about flyers.

come on Schmier, the whole show has to be the be all end all for all German thrash freaks. I think it's pretty obvious Sodom is some kind of main attraction on a witchunter show like destruction would be at a former members tribute show. I clearly remember SODOM being billed lowest and by far having the smallest logo on the "hell comes to your town" merchandising from 2001 whereas that also was a 3-way headliner show Kreator/Sodom/Destruction. Things like that happen even with my own futile little band when we play. I think we all acknowlegde that both Destruction and Sodom where at the birth of extreme German thrash and most fans like both bands and as far as I am concerned a show like this is awesome!

I see where yer coming from Schmier. But obviously I see what Sodom are thinking - Chris was (briefly) their drummer. I think the ego thing with the logo is a bit OTT though, they really didn't need to do that. Like you said, its for Witchunter. not Sodom.
Although lets face it, theres been beef between you and the Sodom guys before...

Why being so sure that Sodom designed the flyer themselves? Anyone of you who has seen them doing this?
Couldn't it also be possible,as I said before,that the band only placed their order with sb who propably didn't even know about the trouble that has been between the person whose memory is to be commemorated and the band the person used to play in?
Show me what proves either the one or the other possibility,and this by fully disproving the other one.
Yes,it is bullshit if this design was based on egocentric intentions by the band. But I didn't see who designed the flyer,so I don't judge by hearing a single word.
