I understand that this is incredibly petty.
I'm not impressed, Schmier. I thought you were bigger than this. No one else cares how big your band logo is. Most people figured out that everyone was going to be playing equal set times - it's been said enough on the internet. Not only that,
it made sense
that Sodom's logo was the biggest. They were his band, he played on quite a few of their albums. He never got over having to leave the band.
This is supposed to be a memorial show, and Schmier's turned it around and brought all the attention onto himself. He better come back with a good fucking explanation.

Yeah it's disappointing, like my friend said. She paid a lot of money to come over. But it's not that they are the first band to cancel something. And we're going to make the best out of it anyway.
And give the man a chance to say something. Bet there's tons of crap coming towards the band right now with out their fans dissing them. |

Not really, the tour was called HELL COMES TO SOUTH AMERICA. SODOM couldn't make the Latin America leg.

All I know is, from personal experience, that something which is understandable from a band's point of view can be totally mis-read or mis-understood by the media/public. 'Bad' news travels fast, whether it's first, second or third-hand or true or false.
People love to hate.
The poster seems more about Sodom than Chris. If I saw that without knowing about the Withchunter show i'd just see it as a Sodom gig with a plain black and white poster with lots of supports. |

No communication with the band or the agency, nothing!
so the promoter didn't even try to negociate, he just pulled the band out of the show.
I still think that all the people involved could end this situation in good terms. Afterwards, It's all about Witchhunter. It'd be nice to have DESTRUCTION back and register that night with a two set dvd and of course tons of alcohol

I wouldn't have been able to get to that show, but nevertheless I can't understand what's happening there.
Of course none of us saw that mail Schmier is said to have written to the promoter.
But,come on,anybody in here who really ever believed that,no matter how pissed he was about the flyer, he would really consider THIS a reason to cancel the band's participation?
So,I may always have said that there are more important things about the show than a stupid flyer,it seems to me that now the promoter is acting childish,cancelling a band's participation because of a stupid piece of paper.
I just read the comments in the destruction.de guestbook.
There are really kindergarten-like comments, "this was the last album I bought" or "I'm gonna take the poster off my wall/tear the patch off my jacket"-style.
How old these writers may be?
Reminds me of jealous 12-yr-old girls writing to teen mags because of rumours that their favorite boygroup singer may have dated another chick than them...
