as a "noob" here, I didn't get to respond to this, so I'm resurrecting it. Seeing CONFOUND GAMES in the lyrics topic got me thinking. I absolutely love this song and always considered it something more than a filler song between CURSE THE GODS and LIFE WITHOUT SENSE. What do the rest of you think? And Schmier, I would love to hear this song live! hint hint

Im with you bro! That song KILLS! They all do, the fact is that as awesome as all the songs are, when you finally get to hear a song youve not heard live ever or in over 20 years, you totally freak out! THAT is a high that beats any drink or drug. Hearing a song thats never been played, or not played in forever is what makes the difference from a show being a great show or being a fucking awesome show, so yeah something like CONFOUND GAMES or UNITED BY HATRED would be enough for me to totally bug out!................in a good way :D

Aside from CONFOUND GAMES, Id also love to hear BLACK DEATH!
Always one of my favorites since I was 16 when I first heard it in 86
MACHINERY OF LIES and THE FINAL CURTAIN are a couple newer tunes that would be killer to hear again as well!
"The end is near...Lucifer's legions of death are ready for attack...they've got only one aim...total DESTRUCTION!"

The Damned (Plasmatics cover) is a great tune. Very melodic and catchy.
Desecrators of the New Age has lots of melody too, even though it even got a video it feels like the Metal Discharge album as a whole got way too little attention. It's a great album, I'm also very fond of songs like the title track and Vendetta to name just two.

I still think that Sign of Fear and Soul Collector are really underrated... or is it just me?

No, you're not alone. Sign of Fear is great. It's musically more advanced than most of their stuff and the intro, atmosphere and chorus of that song are all excellent.

As for Soul Collector, I think it's a good example of how great Destruction still are. It's a song that manages to be very aggressive and very dark at the same time, much like Dark Angel at their best. Don't interpret this as it sounds like Dark Angel, I just mean that it combines brutality and darkness in similar fashion.

From the old school stuff:
The Antichrist
Tormentor
SIGN OF FEAR ( it's the most fucking evil song i've heared from you guy's, that stuff makes my hair stand up)
Unconsious ruins ( fucking love that song )

From later albums:
Tears of blood
Machinery of lies
Dictators of cruelty
Desecrators of the new age
Soul collector
Vicious circle/ 7 deadly sins (that and urge was the reason why i just had to had that album )
Urge (the greed of cain) ( i was going nuts when you played that at bang your head btw)
(Was an epicly nice show for me anyway front row straight in the middle and caught a drumstick + the ppl were so fucking nice :p )

We played THE DAMNED and DESECRATORS the whole last year. We skipped them now, a matter of lacking fan action. Gotta keep the set exciting ... difficult!

Luckily I managed to catch those two TWICE, we-e-e-e-e-e!!! :P

... and sadly, now they are "out of the book". :(

I am not sure what kind of reaction those two got worldwide, but in Vulgaria it was a mosh pit.

We played all those songs LIVE in the last years. Even Black Death. Some will come back maybe ... we tried a lot but some songs just did not work!

Two newer Destruction songs that recieve way too little love from the fans:

Vicious Circle (Seven Deadly Sins) and The Defiance Will Remain! Great songs in my opinion, anyone with me on that?

My vote would probably go to some side 1 Release From Agony stuff too. It's sad there's no crowd reaction, although it's understandable considering the tempo and rhythms. When you're drunk and in mosh pit mood, there are easier songs to go apeshit.

Whoever said Metal Discharge doesn't get enough time was right too. Especially "Mortal Remains". The main riff is the shit. "Desecrators of the New Age" has one of the best verses ever, love the vocals and solo on that one. But you played that one on that tour if I remember right.

"United By Hatred" was always one of my favorites as well.
